About

Hello,

My 2010 Harley Davidson Ultra Deluxe is my preferred method for seeing the US and beyond. Some of the trips I write about are just me with my wife Phyllis on the pillion. Others are with our close friends, Jeff and Teresa from Georgetown and Craig and Kyla from Boerne, TX. Sunday rides are usually taken with our church, the Open Road Biker Church. We have services on Sundays from 10:00 to 11:00 am, then head out for lunch and an afternoon ride. If you’re ever in Georgetown stop by and see us!

I have developed many ride maps and am always happy to share if you want to use them. If you are visiting from another state or country, let me know. I can setup a ride for you and your friends (rental bikes, lodging, etc) or lead one for a small fee. If you have any questions, please leave me a comment!

Thanks for visiting!

Terry

    Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the comment! I live in Berry Creek, so not far from Sun City. You have a really great website. I’m going to have to check out your ride maps.
I think the issue with updates is ease of adding to your page. If you have to use html coding and ftp to your site to update it, then it becomes a pain to post to it on a regular basis. I like WordPress for a webserver application as it’s easy to update and easy for sites like google and yahoo to spider it on a regular basis. All you have to do is go to your dashboard, create your content and press the “publish” button and your done.

would you want me to add your e-m address to our e-m blast list – we do group rides and sometime just lunch some where close – if we have a nice day soon we’ll do something – we have several none Sun City guys that ride with us – Wayne

  5. Reading your article in the paper made me want to introduce you to our group and perhaps another place to ride. I am the secty of the Hill Country Toy Run Association. We have been providing Christmas for the children at the Cherokee Home for Children in Cherokee, Texas and other Hill Country kids for more than 25 years. Our fund-raiser is the Pig Roast in Johnson City at the Blanco County Fairgrounds. We have been able to provide the kids and the home with much needed funds and gifts over the past 16 years, all thru the generosity of fellow motorcycle enthusists like ourselves.
This is an old fashion biker run. With your entry fee, we provide primitive camping on the Pedernales River, plenty of music and fun for the weekend and DINNER on Sat. night and continental breakfast, church on Sun. morning. Plenty of vendors, games, and auction and a poker run. This event is always-rain or shine-on the 2nd weekend of October. The funds raised at the Pig Roast guarantee the children will have a wonderful Christmas. It is really worth the ride to come visit with the kids on our Toy Run (Always on the FIRST Saturday of December) and see how much it means to them. They know Santa rides a motorcycle!! Anyone needing more info can call or email me.

Thanks for the update Sandie. I’ve known about the pig roast for a couple of years but haven’t made it. Main problem is that my wife thinks that a motel without a swimming pool is primitive. :-)
Sounds like fun though and for a very worthy cause. I may have to make it a day trip this year. Thanks!
