La Bahia Trail Wildflower Motorcycle Tour

Saturday, April 10, we left the Starbucks in Georgetown for another Wildflower ride. Our goal was to find a new trail, a new opportunity if you will, to see some of Texas that those of us who live in the hill country rarely take the opportunity to see. In Georgetown, we are only a few minutes from prime riding to the west, but to our east it’s mostly farmland. So to really find excellent riding to the east, you have to put down some slab time to get there. Hence we usually go West. Our goal for today was to find those bluebonnets to the East. Willow City Wildflower Motorcycle Tour

Saturday April 3, Phyllis and I and several members of our church group made a wildflower run. We met at the Starbucks in Wolfe Ranch for a long ride of 300+ miles. We were heading south on this particular day, so to save a bit of time, we headed down the tollway. Right away we were rewarded with the bright yellow Bitterweed growing in the median. Miles and miles of it as we traveled down the road at 70 mph. The other thing that was in full bloom today were the BUGS! We ran through a swarm that made it almost impossible to see through my windshield. Continue reading
