I spent a few hours last week helping out at my local Harley shop’s (HornyToadHD.com) demo days. We had 7 new 2010 models including an Ultra Classic (a great bike to ride 1000 miles on. Ask me how I know!), Street Glide, Road Glide, Wide Glide, Heritage Softail Classic, Softail Deluxe, and a Road King. Through the course of the day, leading some of the rides and just grabbing an open bike and going, I was able to ride most of them.  Biggest upgrade for this year is a change in 5th gear from a spur gear (noisy!) to a helical cut (quiet). All the 6 speeds got this update. All bikes were equipped with the 96 cu motors. On the Dyna’s and softails, the 96 makes plenty of power, but when you add fairings, saddle bags, and trunks they feel like they could use a little more torque. Continue reading →
